Dual Shear shock mounts add some style and strength to your VS4-10 Origin Classic shock mounts. They are designed to work with the DERP system. Not compatible with body post style shock mounts found on “OG” VS4-10 Origin/Half Cab kits.
Made of 1.6mm 6061 aluminum
Anodized, brushed finish available in black, clear or blue. Red and gold available later this summer.
Sold as a set of 4. Includes (8) M3x25mm SHCS and (8) 3D printed 8mm spacers
Aluminum M3x8mm spacers are widely available and can be used in place of the 3D printed spacers (aluminum spacers not included)
Installation Instructions:
- Remove wheel
- Remove the upper shock mount screw
- Remove the (2) M3x16mm SHCS holding the inner fender to the chassis
- Place included M3x25mm SHCS through the dual shear mount and spacers, install the dual shear shock mount unit with hardware and spacers on the chassis
- Reinstall upper shock mount screw. A thin spacer can be added to eliminate any interference when using the upper mount holes.
- Repeat for each shock. It is easiest to do one at a time, using care not to loose connection of the driveshaft
When installed correctly, the lettering should be legible, not backwards, and facing the outside of the vehicle. Front mounts, letters forward. Rear mounts, letter to the rear
*If installing while building the chassis, install during step G1, G2 (Classic manual page 17), replacing the M3x16mm SHCS with the included M3x25mm SHCS
*There is a small amount of interference using Vanquish shocks when the shock is mounted in the upper row of holes. This will leave a tiny mark in the anodizing of VP metal shock top caps. A small spacer can be added to eliminate this interference, if desired. No interference when using the lower row of mount holes. Shocks from other manufacturers may vary
*These parts are manufactured on a parts sprue in order to reach the minimum size required for anodizing. Each part has a small section of raw aluminum at the top where it was cut off of the parts sprue. This is not visible when installed on the truck. An appropriately colored Sharpie can be used to hide this blemish
NOTE: Due to the nature of anodizing aluminum, the shade of color may vary
